On Thursdays, between 6 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., seniors can be picked up and taken to any point on Gabriola for a $2 charge (each way). The Gabriola Lions Club subsidizes this service. Bill can take folding wheelchair or walker, and will assist people into home or building as required.more info

Call the Gabe Shop a week in advance to arrange for help through Drivers to Doctors (to and from appointments on Gabriola) or Seniors Link, for shopping and social transportation on Gabriola. Volunteers provided as available; advance notice required, generally one week.more info
Wheels for Wellness Society
Volunteer drivers from the Comox Valley provide transportation for residents of Vancouver Island to and from non-emergency medical appointments that are more than 75 km from the person’s home (each way); pick up for Gabriola residents is at Nanaimo ferry terminal. Advance notice required. Donations to the society can be made to the driver.more info
