The Alcohol and Drug Information and Referral Service
This help-line is for people needing help with any kind of substance abuse. Referrals include treatment services for adults and youth, education/prevention resources, self-help groups, contacts for fetal alcohol syndrome and other addiction concerns. Service provided by Information Services Vancouver and funded by the Ministry of Health. Hours: 24 hours, seven days a week. Telephone interpreting services are available. more info
Trans Lifeline
Trans Lifeline is a non-profit service dedicated to the well being of transgender people. We run a hotline staffed by transgender people for transgender people. This line is primarily for transgender people experiencing a crisis. This includes people who may be struggling with their gender identity and are not sure that they are transgender. While our goal is to prevent self harm, we welcome the call of any transgender person in need. more info

The Vancouver Island Crisis Text Line offers mobile support to Vancouver Island, the islands of the Georgia Strait, and the mainland communities between Powell River and the Rivers Inlet, seven day a week between 6:00pm and 10:00pm. more info
