Dr. Nancy Reeves has worked in the area of grief, loss, personal injury, and trauma for 38 years. She is the author of a number of best-selling books. Her workbook, "A Path Through Loss" is available at the Library. She is available for individual, couple, or family sessions on Gabriola. Psychologists' fees are not covered under MSP, but many company medical plans or pension plans (such as Veteran's Affairs) cover some or all fees. If injury or loss is due to a car accident, ICBC may cover fees.more info

Self-Management BC provides support for people living with chronic diseases such as diabetes, chronic pain, cancer, heart, kidney and lung diseases, arthritis, lupus, Parkinson, MS, etc. We offer:
- COMMUNITY WORKSHOPS (Diabetes, Chronic Pain, Chronic Conditions, Cancer: Thriving & Surviving) that are led by peer leaders and run for 2.5 hours for 6 weeks.
- HEALCH COACH PROGRAM that involves volunteer health coaches providing weekly 30 minutes telephone coaching for 3 – 6 months for individuals wanting to improve their confidence and motivation to become healthier.
